Who this helps
For Indian small-business owners comparing ERP, a business operating system or separate CRM and inventory apps.
1. Write three acceptance tests.
Choose the handoffs that matter most. For example: follow an enquiry to a proposal; trace a stock movement to its location; follow an invoice to its open balance. Ask each provider to show these with representative records. Include one incomplete or refused action so you can see who handles the exception.
2. Check the records behind the screen.
Count users, locations and the information each team needs. In Pharos, CRM, retail stock, finance and workforce are business areas with their own prerequisites and permissions. General inventory and retail stock have different scope. Match each required task to the right area so the team knows where to work and which records it will share.
3. Compare the complete project cost.
Request a written breakdown of subscription, user types, taxes, migration, integration, training and ongoing support. For Pharos, employee logins are separate from full users, and eligible AI work uses separately purchased AI Credits. Compare the same people, locations, billing term and accepted workflow on every quote; a lower headline price alone does not establish a better fit.
4. Let the team prove the first workflow.
Give one person ownership of acceptance and check exports, permissions and exception handling before a move. Pharos offers a seven-day trial with one administrator and three selected areas. Bring one useful process to a demo, verify the scope, and expand after the people doing the work accept it. Keep existing records available during the transition.
A useful next step
Choose an ERP by the work your team can complete and explain. A checked workflow, clear owner and written cost are more useful than a long feature count.
