Who this helps
For teams evaluating Odoo and Pharos for sales, stock, finance, workforce or project work.
1. Give both providers the same scenario.
Use an enquiry, proposal, stock event or invoice that resembles your daily work. Name who owns it, which records are required and what a successful handoff looks like. Ask to see a missing-information case too. Score the demonstrated result as native, configured, separately scoped or unavailable, rather than treating a similar feature name as proof.
2. Confirm plan and integration boundaries.
Odoo's official pricing page distinguishes Standard and Custom and explains hosting and API options. Check its current offer directly. For Pharos, confirm permissions, required business areas and each external connection during evaluation. AI plan access and purchased AI Credits are separate. Write down what is ready, what needs configuration and who will deliver each connection.
3. Ask for comparable written quotes.
Use the same full-user count, employee access, locations, billing period and workflow scope. Separate subscription, GST, migration, integrations, customization and support. Compare renewal terms as well as the first term. Check Odoo's current prices with Odoo and Pharos plans on our pricing page, then compare the total for the work each provider has agreed to deliver.
4. Decide from an accepted pilot.
Let the people doing the work review the proposed system, exports and exception process. Pharos can be explored through its seven-day trial or a focused demo. A migration should have an agreed owner and scope; this is not a promise of one-click Odoo migration. Select the option that meets your requirements, even when that means keeping your current system.
A useful next step
